McEwen Is Excited About Ewan

The most coveted former Australian sprinter Robbie McEwen has said that fellow Australian Caleb Ewan has everything in him to become the best sprinter on his bike.


If he is able to maintain the form that he had showcased in the Tour Down Under, then he can easily get the better of Olympics silver medalist Mark Cavendish. Cavendish has taken a leaf out of Robbie McEwen’s book and came out with better Down Under results. McEwen believes that the 21 year old McEwan will be the next big racing sprinter in Australia. McEwen is currently working for an Australian television.

Robbie McEwen had an illustrious racing career and won a total of 75 races from 1996 to 2012. He has won 12 stages of the popular Tour De France race as well as the Giro d’Italia race. He feels that there would be a big fight between Cavendish and Caleb McEwan for the top next generation sprinter spot. Caleb is on top of his form, but Cavendish has a lot of experience to outperform Caleb in tough race situations. (more…)

Chris Willett thinks Harrison Mudgway Can Win 2015 Oceania Race

The 17 year old Harrison Mudgway’s coach, Chris Willett thinks that Mudgway has the capability to advance further in the sport of Mountain Biking. Harrison Mudgway is from New Zealand and he managed to secure the title of national champion not too long ago.

He became the cross country mountain biking champion in the under 19 category. At present he is aiming at becoming the champion of Oceania race which is scheduled to start on 26th February in Toowoomba.

Chris Willett expects that Harrison Mudgway will be able to achieve a podium finish and also going to win the title of overall leader of the race. Harrison is also of the same opinion. Mudgway said that he is indeed a little nervous but his level of confidence exceeds his nervousness. He also said that his major objective is to be among the top three riders to finish the race. Having a good race is also a priority for him. Mudgway also wants circumstances to be in his favour. (more…)
